In the sparkle of the sunshine on a bright blue lake...
In the gentle breeze that causes the tree branches to tickle the peaceful sky...
In the pitter-patter of rain drops on the roof, playing out a song for you.

You are real to me...
In the deepness of their eyes, the souls that come seeping through and mingling with mine...
In their peaceful slumber and chaotic play...
In their mere existence.

You are real to me...
When it doesn't seem like it can last and it does anyway...
When things go so wrong and the hurt is deep, and somehow you always make it ok...
When emotions fade and fire dies away and love is still here, because you are still here.

You are real to me...
When something impossible becomes possible...
When I don't understand and yet it doesn't matter...
When I feel like giving up and you don't let me.

You are real to me...
When the doctors say it's hopeless and suddenly there is hope...
When a person I love is still here...
When a person I love is not, and it's ok.

You are real to me...
On my knees, on my face, cradled in your arms...
In the dark, when no one else is there...
When all I can hear is my own breath, my own heart beating.

More real than I ever thought...
Becoming more real every passing moment...
