It's been two weeks since I last blogged!
Well...first of all...Hallie is nine weeks old today!
And second of all...as some of you know...we did kind of a crazy thing last week. We made a totally spontaneous decision to take a vacation. We didn't even decide for absolute sure until about three hours before we left. But it had been four long years since we took a vacation and we were in dire need of another one. With the way the economy is right now, we admit it probably wasn't the BEST decision we've ever made...but you know what? Sometimes you just have to live a little and enjoy life while you can. Our kids will not be little forever and we knew that if we waited until next year we probably wouldn't have the money anymore. So we just did it...we took off to our very favorite place...Disney World! Our last vacation was also to Disney and although Danny and I had a blast, the kids were so little that they didn't remember it. So we were super excited to see their reactions again, especially Holly, who was only six months old last time.
I seriously took like a bazillion pictures, so I am going to have to blog this vacation in parts because there is no way I have the time to sit here for three hours to get it all on here. So here is part 1: Road Trip to Florida!
We started out at around eleven o'clock on Monday morning. (It took us a long time to do a week's worth of packing before we took off.) We figured we might get to Florida sometime in the early morning Tuesday. So we settled in for a very long drive. Hallie was asleep before we even left the driveway and missed us all saying goodbye to our house.

Nick and Hailey were set up with the dvd player that Amber and Andy loaned us and a bag full of dvds in the back seat. Let me tell you...if you ever go on a trip with kids, don't leave the house without one of these things, they are God's gift to parents! LOL!

Holly was so excited to go...she couldn't wait to meet all of the princesses...especially Belle and Cinderella. I don't think she quite understood how long it would take us to get there.
Danny looked over the map right before we left...you know, just a quick gander...
And along the way, we tried not to yawn at the typical boring Indiana scenery that never changes...you know, trees...barns...fields...trees...
Before we got out of Indiana, we decided to stop and make a purchase. Meet our new friend Mandy...she got us safely to Florida and back!

Once we hit Kentucky, the scenery was slightly more appealing...not much, only slightly...

We saw a few interesting things along the way, including this gigantic thing that blocked our way for miles...

Finally, we made it to Tennessee! I thought this picture turned out really neat...my Bible was sitting in my lap and you could see its reflection in the window and it showed up in the picture.

Tennessee is much prettier than Indiana and Kentucky...

In the morning, we had a complimentary breakfast in our room.

And then the kids chilled out for a little bit while we got everything packed back up.

And then we were on our way again!
This concludes Part 1 of our trip. More to come!!!
