Five Hours of Sleep Equals a Happy Mama

It's amazing how much better you feel when you get five straight hours of sleep! I'm not sure what was going on Tuesday night but my little monkey decided to stay up almost the entire night, only taking little cat naps once in a while. I was exhausted and had the worst headache all day yesterday! After two nights in a row of very little sleep, I went to bed last night begging God to help her sleep. She did! She fell asleep at 11:30 and didn't wake up to nurse until 5 this morning. It was so wonderful! By the way, Hallie is six weeks old today!!!!

We are watching a video series at church right now called The Bait of Satan. Last night it was about unforgiveness. The speaker talked about how we tend to categorize sins...you have your BIG sins like adultery and murder and homosexuality...and then you have your little sins...or "weaknesses," as we like to call them...like gossip and unforgiveness. He pointed out that we should treat these "weaknesses" the same as we would treat the BIG sins. He also said that in the Bible where it talks about the things that God hates...the one thing he hates the most is sowing discord among the believers (basically, gossip). As Christians, we would like to think that the BIG sins like homosexuality and murder are what God hates the most. But the truth is in the Word. Also, he pointed out that there are more scriptures in the Bible addressing unforgiveness than there are about murder and that it is so important because the way that we forgive others is the way that God will forgive us. Anyway, those are some of the main highlights. It was very good and really made me think about things that I tend to just brush off as "weaknesses" in my life, when really I should be dealing with them as the major sins that they really are. Last night's teaching isn't up on the site yet, but to watch the previous ones in this series, follow this link: http://www.crosst.org/teaching8.html

Anyway, all is well here...the kids have minor colds, but nothing to worry about. Here are some pictures from our day in Indy and the 4th at my parents'.

First of all, I like your post...you are right...we consider small things "weaknesses" instead of SIN. Thanks for the reminder!

Now...I LOVE the new pics! Hallie is getting so big! Love you guys!
