Some thoughts on fear...

2 Timothy 1:7 "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Fear is a spirit.

Ephesians 6:12-13 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

We have been given the necessary armor to protect us against fear.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

Ephesians 1:21 "[Jesus Christ is] far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come."

1 John 4:4 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them [spirits]: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

Because of Jesus who lives in us, we have authority over the spirit of fear.

FEAR IS THE ABSENCE OF FAITH.
